How it works

Start with one link. Add the rest when it helps.

Give customers one public place for Suggestions. Choose one way to send your own ideas to the Inbox. Then review everything on your time.

A practical way to begin

Get it running without turning setup into a project.

Create the public destination first. Add one way to send ideas to your Inbox. Everything else can wait until it is useful.

1 · Give customers somewhere to go

Put your Suggestions link on your website.

Signing up gives you a hosted Suggestions portal. Link to it from your navigation, help menu, or footer. That is enough to launch. Verified portal submissions follow the moderation setting you choose. Add the Website Widget now or later if you want visitors to suggest something without leaving the page. Widget submissions always begin as Pending review with the source page attached.

2 · Protect your focus

Choose how you want to capture your own ideas.

Use the web app, email, an AI assistant, the command line, or the API. Set up only the method that fits the way you already work. Rough ideas land in your Inbox and stay there until you are ready.

3 · Give the portal a starting point

Publish a couple of Suggestions worth discussing.

Develop your strongest Inbox ideas into clear public Suggestions. You do not need a full backlog. A useful starting point gives customers something to support, comment on, or follow.

4 · Let people know it exists

Invite the people already using your software.

Send one email to your list (if you have one), mention the portal on social media, or simply leave the link where customers can find it. You are opening a door, not committing to an ongoing campaign.

After launch

Let it work without it becoming another job.

Your portal stays available while you build. Customers can contribute when they notice something. Your Inbox holds your own ideas until you are ready.

No daily routine required.
In the moment

Shoot the idea to your Inbox.

Keep working instead of polishing or organizing it.

Once in a while

Review what has gathered.

Turn an idea into a Suggestion, relate it, delete it, answer, or ask a question only where it makes sense.

When a Suggestion deserves attention

Take it from idea to verified result.

Gather interest, ask willing participants what they need, build with better context, and check whether the release actually helped.

The SuggestionBox workflow: owner ideas enter the Inbox, customer suggestions enter the public Suggestions portal, and selected work moves through participant validation, building, release, and outcome verification.

The public experience

See exactly what your customers get.
